A delegation of twenty had come with him from Gary, to be present at the festivity. A laiu-e audience gathered in the evening to listen to Rev. TC. Pinckert of llonire, III., who delivered the German sermon. He told of the Home Mission work now being carried on by our church in the western states. Rve. A. A supmtuous dinner was served the guests at one o'clock and a dainty luncheon was served at five o'clock. The afternoon was spent in a very delightful way. Music and games were the social diversions. A very pretty wedding was solemnized Saturday evening at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stolley in Morton Court when their daughter Miss Anna Stolley was united in marriage to Charles Ahlborn. The ceremony was solemnized at eight o'clock in the presence of the imediate relatives. The Rev. P. Weil, pastor of Friedens Evangelical church who oiciated at the baptism and eonfrmation of the bride performed the wedding ceremony. The ring ceremony was used. Miss Grac? Stolley, a sister of the bride served aa maid of honor and the bride's cousin, Albert Miller of Toleston was the
proom's only attendant. The bride wore a beautiful white lace gown draped over white mesaline satin. She carried bride's roses. Miss Stolley wore a pretty and dainty white embroidery pown. Her flowers were pink kilarney roses. A wedding supper was served after best wishes and congratulations had been extended the young people. Eiphteen covers were laid. The bride's tabic was beautiful with its decorations of greenery and pink rose buds. Jn the parlors where the guests met to witness the ceremony and remained during the hours of the reception, the prevailing colors were pink and preen. Potted palms and ferns and pink ind white roses and carnations were used among the decorations. Joseph Austpen entertained a number of his nieces and nephews at a theater party last Saturday afternoon. Mr. Austpen chaperoned the children to the Orpheum and later entertained them at the home of his mother, Mrs. Gerhard Austpen in East' Sibley street. The children were served with ice cream and cake. Miss Helen Stelxer who -will conclude her visit in Hammond Wednesday and return with her mother to Xogales. Ariz., was the puest of honor at the party. Next Thursday the Lake County Veterans' association will hold its annual meetinp at the Crown Point fair prounds, and providinp the weather is nice, a larpe attendance is expected. The Sons of Veterans, the W. R. C. and the Roy Scouts and their families are invited to help the old soldiers to celebrate at the re-union. It is expected that all will come with well filled dinner baskets. The program will he made Up of speeches, mus-ie and other forms of entertainment.
