The lowest Kross score for the eighteen holes was brought In by Rev. C. A. Smith 103 for the match. P. A. Parry was second with a 105 and Charles Barry Jr. and Dr. II. C. Groman tied for third with 106. The lowest gross for nine holes went to Parry with a record of 50, the best so far in match play, he betng now the only scratch man in the dub for nine holes. It was a short session and after the business had been disposed of a pleasant time was spent socially. The members planed to meet attain next Saturday evening. September 14th. On account of the warm weather and the absence of several of the members who are spending the summer out of the city, the attendance at Saturday's meeting- was not as large as usual. An Important meeting of the members of the Court of Honor will take place this evening in "Weis Hall in State street. The officers for the new year will be chosen. A social hour will be enjoyed folowin the business meeting. A larje attendance is desired at the meeting: of Golden Rule Council No. 1 D. of I,. Tuesday evening? in the K. of P. Hall in South Hohman street. It will be the regular semi-monthly meeting and following the business meeting a short time will be spent socially.

Socialist Speaks. Ian White a Chicago socialist speaker, addressed a crowd of Hammond people last Saturday evening at the corner of Hohman and Fayette streets. He had an interested audience which listened to his exposition of the socialist doctrines.
