GARY ATTACKED
BY SOCIALISTS
, Yesterday's Chicago Dally World
the socialist newspaper, had a column article attacking the Gary govern
ment, the steel company and a few
other things.
Charges that gambling, policy
games are tolerated and that the city is Infested by "crooks, strong-arm
men," and other villains are made.
It is believed that the article was inspired, by Chicago gamblers or by local socialists who were compelled
to cease blocking the streets.
