TUESDAY, AUGUST 13, MOTORCYCLE DOUBLE RIDING FORBIDDEN Milwaukee, Aug. 13. The sight of girls clinging; to the rear scats of motorcycles has goaded City Clerk Peter F. Leuch u-ntil he has decided to frame an ordinance abolishing the practice. With this end In view, he wrote letters to all the larger cities of the United States, asking for reports on any regulations which may be In effect relating to this form of Joy riding. "The question Involved Is not. only one of safety, but of decency," said Mr. Ieuch. "In the course of a short trip through one of our city parks- on Sunday, I saw no less than fifteen youths driving motorcycles at the greatest speed the law allows, with girls clinging to them In the intimate manner required when two people try to occupy a space arranged for one. "No man can drive an automobile with a girl' arms around his neck or stomach, to say nothing of a two-wheeled vehicle, where absolute equilibrium and control must be maintained constantly." He is an undisputed champion and just enough of a sportsman to be eager for a contest But Vogel's forte is not prise fighting. He claims to be the champion dish washer ot the world and he is anxious t go to the mat with any dishwasher who cares to dispute his claim. Vogel is a wonder. When he plunges his hands into a pan of dishes, soap and water and starts out on one of his championship dishwashing stunts there is about as much activity as there is about the propellor of one of those Disturber power boats. The dishes are- washed, dried and" neatly piled up with such marvelous (Continued on Page 8.) . 50 Record to Date.
