EAST CHICAGO The East Chicago hankers and the Clerks In W. R. Diamond's grocery store will play a game of boseball this afternoon at the Indiana Harbor ball park. The game will be for a supper,
to be given at the Auditorium hotel in I Chicago. Wells von Albade of the First Calumet Trust and Savings Bank will pitch for the bankers, while Bob Jones will do the twirling for the Diamonds, The game will start at 4 o'clock. Madison, Iowa, yesterday Dr. and Mrs. Edward Jacobs returned Tuesday from a trip to the doctor's old nome in Illinois. Dr. Jacobs' mother returned with them for a visit. Mr. George L Dixon and family will leave tonight for Denver, Colo., where they expect to mawe their future home, in case the climate there Is favorable to Mr. Dixon's health. Mr. Dixon has been troubled for some time with lung trouble and spent last winter in the west, only returning when he thought his health had been fully restored. An occurrence of the old trouble, however, has decided him to return to Colorado. Today Is market day in East Chicago. Misses Ida Phillips and Mabel Nold were guests of Chicago friends yesterday. Robert Murton. senior and Junior, left yesterday on an extended trip through the west, hey will visit Colorado first, remaining there for some time, after which they will go on to California. Burdick returned Tuesday evening from a trip in Mr. Deppler's automobile to Indianapolis. They left Friday evening and arrived In Indianapolis Saturday evening, taking their departure Monday evening' and arriving Tuesday. During the trip Mr. Burdick gained some very valuable knowledge as to the proper way to treat flat tires, they having had seventeen punctures during the trip.
