A PICNIC SCPPEH. A picnic supper wai riven at the Lake Front yesterday evening complimentary to Mn. Lime of Columbus, Ohio, a sister of Miss Mary Gloeaer. Mrs. Lime has been in Hammond for several weeks, owing: to the illness of Miss Gloeser. who was recently operated upon at St. Margaret's Hospital. As Miss Oloeser Is Improving steadily, Mrs. Lime will return to her home in Columbus tomorrow. Among the guests present at the supper were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Newell, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hitchcock, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Oil and son Ingrahm. Mr. and Mrs. Cadogan, Mrs. Lime of Columbus, O., Mrs. Howard B. Easter of Cap a. S. I, Misses Bertha and Beatrice Hansen and Mist Haiel Smaller. A CONCERT. The Christian church choir, assisted by the Harmony lNur, a male quartette composed by James Graves, Marry Hatfield. E. O. Ingraham and Howard EcVmin will give a concert at Central Park this evening: to which $he public is cordially invited. The park will be pretty with colored lights. Beach games will be enjoyed during the day. The young people left on the 10:45 o'clock car. A SALE OF HOME BAKERY. . The members of the Deborah Society will have an all day session Wednesday in the parlors of the First Christian church in Calumet avenue. The committee of which Mrs. Harry Hatfield Is chairman will have charge of the meeting. They will have many articles of home bakery for sale. The members remained after the lodge sesion to enjoy the social hour. Dainty refreshments were served during the social hour. The members planned to meet again in two weks on Monday evening, July 22nd. The usual business and social program will be followed. A large attendance is desired st the meeting of Progressive Court No. 16 Tribe of Ben Hur this evening in the K. of P. Hall in South Hohman street. The Installation Of officers will be one of the important features of the evening. Several business matters cf Interest will also be disposed of. Fol. lowing the lodge session a pleasant time will be spent socially. This evening the members of the True Kindred wil meet in I. O. O. F. Hall in State street for their regular bi-monthly meeting.
