TIM KS Bl'IlEAV, AT STATU CAPITA I. Indianapolis, Ind., June. 6. It is the general belief that if Roosevelt fails of the nomination for president at the republican national convention there will be no bolt by the Roosevelt followers and supporters in Indiana. It is known that there are some hot-headed

happen. In my opinion the men who compose the contest committee will be fair and honorable enough to act

in our favor in viewing- the enormous ' amount of conclusive evidence that we

test committee turn us down, we will take an appeal to the credentials commlttee and if turned down there our fight will be brought to an end." i There was a pood deal of talk about' the possibility of a bolt at the national convention about the time of the state convention, but many of the Roost?velt ;

There has been a revival of the talk ( of the possibility of the nomination of j Albert J. Beverldge for vice president '

ticket and select delegates to ths Democratic national' convention at

Baltimore. Representative Lindbergh, of the Sixth Minnesota district, has announc

In a minute if they could have their way under such circumstances, but the real leaders of the movement, such men as Charles 11. Campbell, the Roosevelt national committeeman from Indiana; Edwin M. Lee, the state chairman of the Roosevelt organization, and Horace G. Stillwell of Anderson, who was the floor leader for the Roosevelt faction in the state convention and who Is in charge of the Roosevelt contests for places a delegates from Indiana, do not take any part in the talk of a bolt. In fact all of these men have openly expressed themselves as opposed to & bolt. At the time of the state convention, when the Roosevelt people were whipped and Taft delegates-at-large were elected. Stillwell was asked to join in a rump convention which would elect Roosevelt delegates-at-large, but he refused .to have anything to do with the scheme. He said he wished to remain in a position to support the ticket this fall, no matter who mlgrht be nominated at Chicago. He said he had made his fight and had been whipped, and that he would not Join in any rump convention. Lee Seeat Belt Talk. Mr. Campbell at about the same time

brunt of the Roosevelt speechmaklng j campaign, and according to reports that j

have I'ome to this city he appears to be a favorite in many states as the running mate for Roosevelt. Beveridge, however, is not saying anything along that line. He fully believes Roosevelt will be nominated, but his speechmaklng has not been with a view of getting on the ticket with him. He s a close personal friend of Roosevelt, and his speeches have been made for that reason. A republican , from St. Paul, Minn., who has been lnthls city for several days, says that the name of Beverldge as a running mate for Roosevelt is heard on all sides up in his country. Practically all of the Indiana republican leaders of prominence will be In Chicago before this week is out. They are going up there on account of the Indiana contests, which will be heard at once. They want to be near the

scene of the battle, so as to be In posi- I tlon to give advioe and to tell the war- j riors Just how it ought to be done. Taft

and Roosevelt men alike already are journeying to Chicago for that purpose. Most of the members of the state .central committee also will be there.
