A VEDDI(( ASOlS(EMEXT. The marriage of Miss Marion Halsom to It. E. Abercrombie will take place this evening at five o'clock at the residence of the bride's mother In Hudson, Wisconsin. Only relatives ana intimate friends of the couple will be In attendance. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception will be held, after which "Mr. and Mrs. Abercrombie will leave for 'Waupaca. Mr. and Mrs. Abercrombie were classmates at Stout's Institute, Menominee, Wis., where Mrs. Abercrombie took a course in domestic science, and Mr. Abercrombia -iu manual training. M. Kunert, a June bride. Miss Kunert's marriage to Dr. A. P. McConnell of Goshen, Ind.; will be a ceremony of Wednesday, June 26th. The ceremony will be performed at four o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. Miss Kunert received many beautiful gifts from friends. Tho evening was devoted to music ami social games unil ten o'clock when a luncheon was served. The luncheon was served in three courses at tables in the dining room. Twenty-six covers were laid. The tables were beautifully appointed In pink and white. Flowers and pretty greenery were used among the decorations. Painty hand decorated plac cards were used to announce the date of the aproacriinfr wedding. Among the guests were Mrs. A. The game progressed at seven tables. A dainty luncheon was served after the card games. Another party will be. given Tuesday afternoon, June 18th and the hostesses will ba named later. The refreshments were served in two courses. Only the club members were preserjt and they planned to meet again next Tuesday evening with the Misses Fedder at their home in East State street. They will etnertaln at a thimble party. ELECT OFFICER . The Knights of Honor Class of the First Baptist church had a social and business meeting last night. Refreshments were served and the boys had a very fine time. The, business taken up with the class was changing the name of the class from Knights of Honor Class to Junior Loyal Sons Class. A BRILLIANT AFFAIR. The ball room of the Masonic Temple was the scene of a brilliant society event last evening when the Juniors of the Hammond high school gave thtlr annual banquet honoring' the members of the 1912 graduating class. They also entertained the faculty and members of the Hammond Board of Education. The banquet was one of the prettiest affair of commencement week. The hail was a bower of pink and green. Garlands of pink r6ses were festooned between the large pillars and were a pretty decoration in the arches and windows. Potted plants and palms wer banked In the windows. The lights were shaded wtth pink and green crepe papef. Vases filled witn pink rose buds were the decorations in h two large parlors wher tha guests met before the banquet hour. The dec-oratlnjr was tha work of F. W. Givler of the White Store. The banquet was served at eight o'clock. Mra.
