The members were all present with the exception of one and Mis Mona Krost was the Invited guest. ; Music and carda were the features of the evening. Several gamps of "600" were played at two tables." A prettily appointed juneheon of two courses wat served after the frames. Pink carnations and pretty greenery decorated the table. During a short business session plans were made for the next meeting: to be
held In three weeks at the home of Miss Ieatrice Hansen. 11 Rlmbach avenue. The members will also form theatre party in Chicago Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Tierce entertained at a thimble party and the quests brought their needle work. After a few hours spent
pleasantly with needle work a prettily appointed luncheon was Served. The refreshments were served In -tri courses. The arrangements were not made for the meeting to take place in two weeks on Monday afternoon, June 10th but the hostess will be name! later. Xesblt will be the principal speaker at the banquet. A delightful program has been arranged for the evening. A report of the sale of tickets was made at the meeting last evening showing that many had been disposed of.

and Ed Austgen was solemnized yesterday afternoon at three-thirty o'clock t -St. Arae'a chifrch In Chicago.
Miss Florence Wilson was the bride' only attendant. The ceremony was witnessed by the bride's mother, Mrs. Robert A. Gordon. The bride wore a pretty tailored costume of gray serge
and a hat to correspond. Mr. and Mrs.
Austgen will be at home to their

June 15th. They have a pretty home
all In readiness. The announcement of the marriage of Miss Gordon and Mr. Austgen will be interesting to the young people of Hammond and vicini

John Flaherty, who proved himself a capable and courteous bathhouse keeper last summer, will have charge of the bathhouse against this year and Is making preparations to take car of larger crowds than ever. A new supply of bathing suits has been secured and Mr. Flaherty has everything In readiness for the warm weather. Although the water is not warm enough to go bathing, large crowds have called at the beach daily to test the water and are finding the temperature better every day.
