Adams will be asked to preside at the meetings during the remainder of the year .

A very enjoyable meeting of the Golden Rod Camp No. 1657 Royal Neighbors took place last evening In Long's Hall in State street. One candidate was Initiated during the evening. The members planned to attend a meeting at AVest Pullman early in June and also arranged for their next regular meeting to be held in two weeks on Friday evening. One of the most enjoyable dances of the season was given by the members of the Protected Home Circle last
evening in the Moose Hall In State street. It was their first annual dance
and many of the Hammond and Chi-, cago friends of the members were entertained during the evening. Dancing began at eight-thirty o'clock and continued until a late hour. The hall was elaborately decorated In red, white and blue, the colors of the order. The bunting trimmed the chande-

the hall. The lights had pretty shades of the same colors. At the regular bi-monthly meeting of Triumph Council No. 11 D. of U. Monday evening the members wily follow their usual program. The meeting will be held in I. O. O. F. Hall in State street. A business and social program will be. followed by the members of the Hammond Chapter of Eastern .Stars this evening at their meeting in the K. of P. Hall in South liohman street.
