launching: of the motor boat, "Earl Ira." Mrs. Basil Walker christened the i boat, naming It from the young: men who are interested in It. They are guests of Mr. Ira Soper. ESTERTAISS WITH CARDS. "A very en joyable , meeting of the Good Will Club took place yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs.. Hill In Muenich Court. Pedro was played duringthe afternoon and the games progressed at four tables. Mrs. Frank Waller won eleven out of twelve games and received first honors. Frizes were also won by Mrs. J. P. Ryan, Mrs. Camp and Mrs. Fred Kraloweti. The consolation prise was awarded to Mrs. Truedell. Dainty refreshments were served at the conclusion of the games.

A SOCIAL GATHERING. A very pleasant afternoon was spent by the members of Circle No. 1 who met with Mrs. Fred Humpher yesterday afternoon at her home in Rimbach avenue. It was their afternoon for meeting and several members were in attendance. They spent the afternoon very enjoyably at the card tables where pedro was played. Honors were won by Mrs. Frank Cope, Mrs. John Becker and Mrs. Jacob Schloer. Fol

lowing the games a dainty luncheon of two courses was served. The covers

were laid at the small tables. In two weeks the members will meet on Wednesday evening instead of Thursday afternoon and Mrs. Otto Knoerzer will be hostess.

the early hours of the evening. Every

number was thoroughly enjoyed

Games and contests were also features of the evening until the banquet hour

when the guests were Invited Into the

dining room and served with a supper.

The tables were prettily appointed. Ferns and carnations decorated the

tables. The class colors, red and white were carried out In the decoration of

the parlors and dining room. Mr. Han-
