The question of bringing the Oavit line to East Chicago vi 151st street and thence onto Olcolt avenue was discussed. ; This plan did not however seemed to appeal elthe to Mr. Gavit or to Mr. Green. Th former declared It would not pay him to parallel the Gren line a block from Forsyth avenue. Green did not seem disposed to give up 151st street on which the Green line has asked for franchise. But those fellers, Marcus & Klemperer, they cofjies along next aoor io Cirkle a year ago. Does that make anv difference to them? Not a bit. They start in the furniture business too." 'Thai's what the insurance company thinks, too, Mawruss, oder they wouldn't make our rate so high." 1 , "That don't say as how Marcus St Klemperer has any right to swipe Cirkle's idees. Cirkle puts up a sign that says 'Sale,' and them other fellers up and thrasnea out to a consiaerauie extent, and while there seems still some opposition to third track through the business center pf town, there is little opposition left to permitting the street to be used as far west as Railroad or Tod avenue, turning thence north or south anto the next street and proceeding thus to Forsyth avenue. But even the opposition to using Chicago avenue clear through to Forsyth seems gradually to be fading away - - --- .- - - - When the meeting broke up last night no date had been set for a fel-low-up meettng, but this will be called possibly for tonight and if not then, undoubtedly not later than Monday. so as to be in reaoiness to report to the board of public works by Tuesday.
