A BEXKFIT RSTERTAI VMEXT. The auditorium of the First; Congregational church in Gostlin street was filled -with Hammond people who gathered there last evening for the musical given by Miss Lillian Thompson and her pupils in piano and voice. They were assisted by Miss Beth "White of Chicago who hs a class in elocution in Hammond. The program they gave was n of the most delightful of the
winter and every number was thoroughly enjoyed. Miss Thompson gave a number of selections which were very much enjoyed and the vocal and instrumental numbers given by her pupils were heartily applauded. Miss White Is a favorite with Hammond audiences and her two readings were 'entertaining. Miss Laura Patterson and Miss May Brown came out from Chicago and gave a litle comedy sketch entitled "The Backward Child." Little Miss Brown also rendered a pretty vocal selection. About twentyfive dollars was cleared which Will be used for the benefit tit the church. The following was the program: Piano Selection "The Two Angels". during the evening. Dancing began
at eight-thirty o'clock. . At nine o'clock during a short intermission in the program of dances little Miss Irene

the evening playing kindergarten games. In a guessing contest the only honors were won by Miss Ruth Dufrain. Music was also a pleasant feature of the evening until 10 o'cock, when a prettily appointed luncheon of two

laid. Next Thursday evening the members of the club will be guests at a hard time party at which Misses Olga and Hilda Wandner will entertain at
their home in Truman avenue. The

A business meeting was called at 2:30 o'clock, and several matter of interest were disposed of. Plans for the next meeting were made and the members will serve
