tery. , - :: ' In he arms she carried a month old baby and with tears streaming j down her cheeks she told a pitiful story of how he struck the child and then brutally beat and mistreated her. In broken English she said that they had only been married a little over a year, when previous to this he bad struck her a number of times. On her neck bore the results of being scratched by his Angers and in her hand he held 'a large lock of hair which he had pulled out of her head. She told that the assault took place last ni&ht when lie came home in an intex loafed condition. His arrest will. be mad today and the trlalwill come up before Judge Prest some time tomorrow.
