150 Couples ThereIn the neighborhood of 150 couples attended the dance given by the Moose at their club rooms on State street last night. Refreshments were served and an enjoyable time is reported.
Sues Albert Lewis. William C. Harrison has started an action against Albert Lewis, the exchlef of the East Chicago police department, to recover $180 which he alleges is due for stenographic work which was done in the case of the state ex rel. Greenwald vs. Lewis. Attorneys Crumpacker, Crurnpacker & Tinkham have been employed to prosecute the case.
Dibos Gets Agency. Edward M. Dibos, has secured the agency for the American Traveler, an excellent automobile, and will - have a demonstrating car in Hammond in a few days. He has a number of prospective buyers on his lists.

Felix a Bad Boy. Felix Gratwlck. 184 Pennsylvania avenue, who In the past year has given the police a great deal of trouble, was arrested yesterday on a charge of petit larceny which occurred nearly a month ago. Gratwlck and another young lad stole four dozen oranges from a peddler and since that time he promised to pay for them, but he never showed up with the money. This ts one of the many petty charges that he has been mixed in and has been upbefore the juvenile court before. He-will be taken up before Judge .McMahan in the juvenile court some lime today and will likely be sent to the boys' school at Plainfield. The last time he was taken before the juvenile court he promised to behave if given another chance.

He was placed under a $1,000 bond and was taken to Crown Pblnt, where he will await trial. -

Following the theft of a large quantity of wire from the American Telegraph & CatVe company, a number of detectives. Including the Hammond police force, are searching the surrounding country In hopes of locating the thieves. The wire was taken from the company's right of way about three miles south of Hammond and it has been learned that there were five men in the gang. They were, headed toward Hammond when last heard of.

Mrs. Charles Volkman and Mrs. Chax. Harbrecht have returned to their home In FrancisviUe, Ind., after spending a week with Mrs. Fred Harbrecht at her home in Mott avenue. West Hammond. Mrs. Oren Stewart of Henry St. was taken to St. Margaret's Hospital yesterday where she submitted to an operation for appendicitis today. Her many friends hope for her complete recovery at an early date.

Mrs. Ruhstadt. 27 Webb street, reported the loss of a purse to the police this morning. It Is thought that the pocketbook was lost between Sibley street and the Broken corner on Hohman street. It is described as being a small black purse with a silver edge.
