monthly meeting. Plans were made for the Initiation of several candidates, but on account of sickness among the members and officers it was decided to postpone it until some future meeting. The evening was given over to a social

G. Paxton and Sirs. Jeannie Sawyer. The meeting was one most enjoyable of the winter and there were between forty and fifty Hammond women in attendance. They were received in the parlors where the hours between two-thirty and four o'clock were spent playing cards. Several games of "Hearts" were played and 'the honors were won by Miss Marlon Deming. The Wabash College Glee club will
give an entertainment at the Hammond theater on March 26, under the
auspices of the University club of Hammond.
It has been several years since the
Wabash Glee club has been heard In Hammond, and it is believed that under the auspices of the University club that the house will be packed.
The Wabash Glee club is the best in
the state and has been compared with similar organizations in the larger colleges of the country. The club Is bet
ter than' ever this year, and It is certain that there will be a large attend
ance tohear the college boys.
