A CHl'RCH WEDDISG. St. jMary's Catholic church in East Chicago was the scwie of a very pretty wedding1 this morning when Miss Rose Bourque and George Ghidl were united 'In marriage. The hour for the ceremony was seven o'clock. , Only the relatives and -a few intimate friends attended the services. The Rev. Father Lauer officiated, using the ring ceremony of the church. A sister of the bride. Miss Mary1 Bourque served as maid of honor and the groom's only - attendant was William Lelsenfelt. The bride was beautifully gowned in white satin, and she wore a longtulle veil caught to her hair with a wreath of lilies of the valley She carried brides roses. Mr. and Mrs. Gindfc will announce their "at home? after their return from a wedding trlp.Y The bride is known in church and social circles in East Chicago which has been her home. of the church. Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Hawley were the only witnesses of the ceremony. The bride and groom will go to Gary to make their home where Mr. Hawley is engaged in business. The announcement -of the marriage of Miss Nashholt and. Mr. Hawley will be read with interest in circles where they are known and their friends will extend them best wishes and congratulations.

Potted palms, ferns and flowers were used In profusion. Following the banquet a program of dance was enjoyed. The guests remained until a late hour and thoroughly enjoyed every feature of the program. A BUSINESS MEETING. The members of the W. C. T. U. will meet Friday afternoon at two-thirty o'clock at the home of Mrs. Ida Fryar, 1S5 Michigan avenue. A large attendance Is desired at the meeting as business of importance will be transacted. 4 Everything is in readiness for three big tournaments at the University club of Hammond. Committees have been appointed by President David Emery, and the board of directors which will put on billiard, pool and whist tournaments. These committees are as follows: Billiard Dr. Harry B. Hayward,
chairman; Ralph Wicks and Malcom Cleveland. Pool Dr. T. W. Oberlin, chairman; William Crawford and Dr. W. H. Davis. Whist Victor Dyer, chairman; W. L. Craig and George Hannauer. The board is enthusiastically in favor of giving the stag minstrel show and the following committee was appointed to make all necessary arrangements for it. Percy A. Parry, Dr. T. W. N. Hilbrich Dying.
Nicholas Hilbrich, a Well-known Hammond man, and formerly la the sa
loon business, is reported to be dying
at his home lit Sibley street, Pulmo
nary tuberculosis, - with which he has suffered a long time, has confined him
to bed for several weeks and all hopes for his recovery have been given up.
It is not thought that he will live
through ye week. Building New Homes.
A number of new residences will be
erected in Weet Homewood, the sub
division that has been laid out on the west side of the state line and next to
the Hammond Country club.
