Tltree basket ball games were scheduled to be played in the Emerson school gymnasium at Gary Saturday night but ty the non-appearance of the Merchant Mill team their game was forfeited to the Electrics. The Gry high school frtshmen were defeated by the South Chicago Princetons by a score of six to t'even; th Tin PJats won over, the Northwestern university freshmen by a score of 40 to 29. The Gary-Princeton game was .played according to A. A. 1 rules and several of the Gary players say that they were In Ignorance of the rules. In spite of size the Gary team put up a stiff fight and in the first half were only lose-s by two points. In the second half the Princeton quintet seemed to walk away with the Gary five and the final score was 6 to 11.
