An Eagle Creek farmer writes to Tun Times for information as to the Kankakee river resolution recently introduced in the senate by Senator B. F. Shively, which was read twice and referred to the committee, on commerc. The joint resolution, according to a statement sent ty Senator Shively to this paper, ls as follows: "Authorizing; the appointment of a board of examiners to make- an examination of the Kankakee river at and in the vicini-ty of the boundary line between the states of Indiana and Illinois, relating to the necessity and practicability of removing- obstructions
from said river and straightening Its
