FACTS BEFORE A JURY
Prosecuting Attorney Charles Greenwald of Lake and Porter counties does not think that there will be any special
grand jury called to investigate the al
leged story that one of the Jurymen- in the Williston bribery case was bribed and that this is the reason why a dis
agreement resulted at the trial.
intimations inai mignt nave come
from the camp .of the -special states's
attorneys to the effect that the bribery story was being investigated at the instance of Governor Marshall have been published and apparently have aroused
the ire of those In the defense camp.
Home or tne aerense start are now
throwing out veiled hints that the state
may have been done some bribing, and there are some hidden rumors that the defense will demand a special grand
Jury , to investigate the state's attor
neys.
"If Mr. Parker and Mr. Hodges, the
special prosecutors, have any bribery
evidence they should do their duty,"
said Prosecutor Greenwald today..
This is taken to mean that the prose
cutof wants to' see all facts placed be .fore a. grand Jury. It is stated that i
both the state and defense are eager to get a grand jury to investigate each other that it will be forthcoming

The coroner finished his inquest yesterday afternoon. His verdict -was an accidental death and little Peter was released. His grief over his sister's death is beyond expression f or . him. She was his favorite. Last Wednesday after school when the father and "the mother were away from the home, Anna cried for bread.
