Judge Ross, in Probate Court at Indianapolis yesterday refused to divorce two persons who were introduced one night, engaged the next, married a fpw days afterward and separated fifteen -days after. The palintiff was Mary Thompson, 624 AVabash street. The defendant was Edwin Thompson. The plaintiff testified she
worked for a friend of her husband
and was introduced by the friend. Thompson called the evenig after the introduction, proposed and was accepted. She said that he stated, "I am. a drinking man, but I will quit." He did quit drinking, she asserted, for period of fifteen days, when he is alleged to have told his wife, "I am going to drink until I die." The separation followed. Mrs. Thompson said it was her third matrimonial venture. Judge Ross said he did not wish to be a party to such speedy transactions in affairs of the heart.
