Fashion never does things by halves and now that fringe is so popular for trimming purposes it is used lavishly on hats as well as on frocks and wraps. , This velvet picture hat has, at the edge of the brim, a trimming of white worsted ball fringe, which, while rather a bizzare note, gives the hat a thoroughly up-to-date look. The crown of the hat is covered with draped black velvet and there is a band and bow trimming of white velvet ribbon.
