It was their second social meeting of the season and several of the members were present. Th'jy spent the evenig enjoyably with various games and contests and music was also a pleasant feature. At eleven o'clock the guests were invited lmo tha dining room and served with an elaborate luncheon of four courses. The table was prettily decorated ap propriate to Hallowe'en. After several games of whist the honors were awarded. Mrs. Charle Hubbard won the honors and prizes were awarded to Mrs. Foster Murray and Mrs. Kay Fowler who had the second and third highest score. An enjoyable meeting of the mem bers of Sewings Circle No. 2 of St. Margaret's hospital took place yester day afternoon and Mrs. P. H. Younc was hostess at her home in Erie street. The afternoon hours were passed pleasantly at the card tables. After several games of nedro the honors were awarded. Mrs. Peter Halfman won the first honors. Mrs. Meyer, the econd and Mrs. Joe Kmmerllng, the hird. Music and social conversation ollowed the games until four-thirty 'clock when the hostess served a two course luncheon. The refreshment were served at the small tables in the parlors. There were many members resent. It Is desired that all the memers attend the meeting in two weeks t the home of Mrs. Meyers in State Line street. Mrs. Meyers will entertain at an afternoon card party. MRS. KHAI.OWETZ ESTEKTAIXS. Mrs. Kralowetz very pleasantly enertained. the members of the Good Will club yesterday afternoon at her home in Allen street. It was the afternoon for the bi-monthlv meeting at which cards were the feature of enteralnment. The guests played at three small tables In the parlors. After seven games of pedro the honors were awarded. Mrs. Schubert won the first honors, Mrs. Truedell. the second and he third prize was won. by Mrs. Nichols. The consolation priie was awarded to Mrs. Schubert. Music and luncheon followed the card games. A dainty two course luncheon was serv ed. The arrangements were not made for the next party but the hostess will be named later. POSTPONE THE MEETIXG. The meeting of the D. S. club which was announced to take place yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Oscar Hill was postponed on account of Illness among the members. Mrs. Hill will entertain at her home in North Hohman street next Thursday afternoon In honor of the club members. Needle work will be one of the social features of the afternoon. MEET WITH MR!. WAU.XEH. The home of Mrs. Giles Warner in Carroll street was the scene of the meeting of the social department of the Baptist Woman's Union yesterday afternoon. The early hours were devoted to the transaction of business and several matters of interest to the members were disposed of. Committees were appointed for social work during the winter. Mrs. AV. A. Jflll was elected chairman of the commit tee to arrange the evenlnsr entertain ments. She will be assisted by Mrs. F. W. Kimball and Mrs. E. W. Bump. The afternoon entertainment .commltee will have as Its chairman, sfrs. H. J. Wood ruff. She will be assisted by Mrs. Ttopp, Mrs. G. L Smith and Mrs. Wil liam Meyers. During, the social hour Mrs. Whistler entertained the guests with several musical selections after whieh dainty refreshments were served. A PBE-MPTIIL EJiTERTAIXMnXT. Miss Bertha Hansen and Miss -Beatrice Hansen were hostesses at a party given last evening at their homo, 11 Rimbach avenue in honor of MIsst lone Hunt, one of the October brides. The party was one of a serias at whicn Miss Hunt has been the honor guest this week. Cards were the entertainment for the evening and the guesta played bridge and hearts at tables in the parlors. The only honors awarded was the guest prize which was given to Miss Hunt. Miss Edith Goodman entertained with music after which refreshments were served In two courses. A great deal of sewing was accomplished for the bazaar which will he given sometime In November. There was a pleasant social hour at the cloie of the, business meeting. The member are invited to attend the meeting next Thursday at the church. The announcement was also made of the home bakery sale to be given Saturday. One sale will be held in the basement of the church and the other in the Ham mond building at the corner of Hohman and Fayette streets. A COMMITTEE MEETIXG. Mrs. Gertrude Grosscup-Perkina of Chicago was present at the meeting of the drama committee of the Hammond Woman's club at the home of Mrs. H. R. Bell, 51 Rimbach avenue yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Perkins was in charge Lof the- afternoon's study and her talk was the feature of the program. Mrs. Perkins has appeared before the memberg of the Hammond Woman's club at several of their meetings. AX ALL DAY SESSION. The members of the Ladies' Aid so. ciety of the First Congregational church met for an all day session yes terday in the social rooms of tha church. It was the regular weekly meeting to which all the members were invited and there was a large attendance. A dinner was served at twelve o'clock and an hour was spent enjoyab"ly in a social way. The afternoon was devoted to sewing for the bazaar to be given late in November and a great deal of work was accomplished.
