Charles, aged four years. j NEED MORE CARRIERS.

(Special to Tub Times.) Indiana Harbor. Oct. 10. Judging

from the increased quantity of mail the

Indiana Harbor postoffice is lately obliged to handle, it will not be long before additional carriers are required to keep the delivery up to the dot in the matter of punctuality.

Postmaster A. G. Lundquist reports

that during the week from Oct. 2 to 7

inclusive, the four carriers delivered

15,235 letters and 6,615 papers. The

combined weight of these was 1,510

pounds and .the carriers made 7,080 stops in their delivery.

The number of lett.ers handled dur

ing that week makes an average of 1 letter to each man, woman and child

in Indiana Harbor, and the papers delivered account for an average of twothirds of a paper to each inhabitant. This is a remarkable record and when

it is added that the delivery was prompt it speaks well for the department. ,
