Although not quite Completed, the

new Crown Point high school building

will be opened and dedlcattd on Mon

day. The building la a model for con-J venience and modern ideas in the way of ventilation and sanitation, and one that Crown Point citizens, may feel proud to show visitors. A: large assembly room, gymnasium fitted with shower baths, a manual training room, besides several well-lighted classrooms, combine to make a building that will be a joy to the hearts of its future pupils. Several new educational features will be introduced throughout the year that-will keep the "local high school in the front ranks of school work In northern Indiana," and with the completion of the building a new era will be marked In the school life at Crown Point. The school, board, the architect and the contractors are to be

congratulated upon the completion of

Crown Point's splendid new school-house.

v- Manager Reiser and his league leaders are cocked and primed for the game with Hammond tomorrow, and a big crowd is expected to witness the next two closing contests of the season. The pennant fight has been an uphill one for Crown Point and their consistent winning in the face of numerous obstacles has been a source of considerable pride and . gratification to the local fans. From pre-nt Indications It is not expected that Crown Point will become a member of the Northern Indiana league next year, the management

realizing that too heavy odds have to be encountered to break even with the

combined sentiment exhibited against the county seat by the north county teams. Crown Point expects friendly

rivalry, but there have been numerous

occasions when the exact reverse was j the case. In the face of this It looks

like "independent" baseball for Crown Point next year. List of Letters S. E. Anderson, Vm. Buse, W. F. Campbell, B. F. Fagen, Theo. Johnson, Harry C. Morgan, Harlan McColley, Clarence Morrison, Miss A. HIghwood, Mrs. Harvey Lee, Miss F. AVeiss, Mrs. "Walter Young.
