BALL GAME CREATES BIG STIR , (Special to The Times.) Indiana Harbor, July 28. Never has there been manifested such enthusiasm over a game of ball as is that which prevails in Indiana Harbor and Gary j over the game set for tomorrow be1 tween the Gary Works and the Indiana Harbor league team at the Jndiana iiarDor ball park tomorrow. i ! Gary is simply wild, and Indiana Harbor is no less so. Gary, fearful that the grandstand would not accommodate the joint crowd sent by the rival towns, this morning sent In a fev- ! erish demand for every box on the stand that had not already been sold. They would have taken more boxes! had they been available. The boxes ' will go for the most part to the ladies and those Indiana Harbor ladies who have been foresighted and forehanded j enough to purchase boxes are thanking their stars for getting in their application early. Gary will send a special train composed of four coaches, on the South Shore. The train will leave Gary at 1:33 p. m. and will land the fans in front of the ball park shortly after 2 o'clock. It had been intended to charter an E., J. &'E. train, but owing to the distance this would have landed the fans from the grounds. It was thought better to come via the South Shore. The event has resolved Itself Into not only a matter of rivalry between the cities of Gary and Indiana Harbor, but between the Inland and the Indiana Steel company's mills, and there will be great interest as to which mill rm tur nout the biggest crowd. In Gary the enthusiasm over this feature is at fever heat. Indiana Harbor is banking on the Inland doing its share toward maintaining its well-established reputation of never falling down on the Job, and word has been passed around for all hands who are not on duty at the hour set for the ball game to put In an appearance. The men. however.! need no such hint, for their pride in their mill i3 well known. Quite a number of boxes have been engaged by Harbor people. Superin tendent John W. Lees of the Inland has engaged two boxes and will have as his guests Superintendent and Mrs. Gleason of the Gary mill and other friends. William E. Jewell Is one of the box holders, as are also Vice President C. A. Westberg of . the East Chicago company. Mrs. A. G. Lundquist. who will be there with a party of ladies, Ralph Fairmont and Nick Fox. Other boxes have been sold to parties whose names could not be learned. It Is understood that there will be a great outpouring of ladies of the

The event " will undoubtedly be the social event of the season, so far as baseball is concerned, and the game is expected to be a fight to a finish. Indiana Ilarbar has not forgotten the narrow victory by- Gary at the last game and the lown wants to prove that It has a team that In every way equals, if it does not outclass, the visiting team.
