The afternoon will be devoted to games and the delights of the bathing beach. It will also be their duty to see that the watermelons are all disposed of. The meeting held yesterday by tli ladies of the Deborah Aid society of the First Christian church was one of great Interest. They met at tha church for an all day session, and devoted their time to sewing and qulltJng nQoa they served a dinner In ""Re. dining room; to the public. There was a. neat sum realized from this, which is to be added to the church fund. In the afternoon a business session was held, and final arrangements made for an ice cream social to be held next Wednesday evening August 2nd at Central Park. the business of the society. After tho business session a pleasant hour was spent in a social way. Refreshments were served by the committee In charge. Mrs. Bleck was named as the
hostess for the next meeting which

The social given last evening by the Young Peoples' society of the Evangelical Immanuel church In the church hall in Sibley street was a decided, success. It was well attended by the young people and a great many of their elders, to show their appreciation of the work being done by the young people. A nice sum was realized from their efforts and wil be added the church fund. SOCIAL DAY ON LAWN. The ladles of the Martha Aid society of the' Christian church are being entertained this afternoon by the July Committee. This is the last meeting day in the month and it is being spent
in a social way on the lawn of Rev. and Mrs. C. J. Sharp in Summer street.

ing of refreshments. The ladies are anticipating an enjoyable as well as a
