A Trip on a Motorcycle. Oerhart Schulte, who is a fireman at the central fire station Xo. 1, found out the difference the other day from riding on the rear of a hose cart and that of a motorcycle. This is the joke told on Schulte. The other day he borrowed the motor cycle from a brother fireman, Merrill, and started out to see his friend, Felix Heinemann, a former fireman at the central station, but now running a firewater emporium. The trip there was made without a mishap, but on the way home things began to happen. Schulte thought he saw a fire and thought he was on the hose cart instead of a motor cycle. Jumping off the machine with the Imaginary hose in his hand, he awoke In the ditch, with the machine piled on top of him. A farmer came to his rescue and untangled Schulte from the machine. After getting his bearings Schulte walked the balky creature back tothe central station, wheer he vowed "never again."
