The Crown Point baseball team will ODn Its 1911 season at the home grounds near the Brie depot on next -Sunday afternoon when they cro6S bats with the husky Red Sox of Chicago. Manager Keiser expects to put in the game most of the lineup which he calculates to use during the entire season and Crown Point fans will have their first chance to see the personnel f their team for 1911. No gilt edged playing Is expected as the local team starts in with several recruits who have not, practiced with the Crown Point aggregation. The Red Sox played here last year and put. up an excellent article of baseball and from all reports their lineup is as strong as the previous season. Crown Point fans are asked to give the team their support and put them on a good financial foot

It is said the deal between Ben Hayes and J. J. Bennett has fallen through and ttve Bennett home on Main street will not become Mr. Hayes' property, at least for tho time being. The inability of Mr. Hayes to get a clear title to the place at present is the cause of the deal falling through. Mr. Hayes has his weather eye peeled for other Crown Point property and may purchase another home here in the near future. Mr. Monlxt living on East Joliet street, has purchased the home occupied by Rev.. -Ph. GuethofT and will move the same across the street to lots adjoining his present residence. The price paid for the house was over $300. Numerous Improvements are being made on the Winer property on South Court street. A , chicken pie supper will be given at the Methodist church parlors from 6:30 to 8 p. m. tomorrow evening. All are requested to attend. The Crown Point Rifle club will hold Its weekly shoot this evening. Miss Nellie Northrup is lsiting her sister, Mrs. Rose Demmon, in Chicago for few days. Mrs. Frank B. Fattee has issued in vltations to Crown Point society folk for a luncheon at her home on Cast street on Saturday. Rev. Howard Billman and M. E. Dinwlddie have returned from the regular spring meeting of the Logans port presbytery, held at Mishawaka, where they represented the Presbyte rian church- of Crown Point. Both these gentlemen were elected to repre sent Logansport presbytery at the general assembly to be in session at At lantic City for about two weeks beginning May IS. , An adjourned meeting of the presbytery will be held at Hammond on May 1 for the purpose of ordaining and installing a pastor, M.
