HERE IS A PRETTY BLOUSE MADE OF HUGE SQUARE KERCHIEF.

Bo much bordered fabric Is la-, eluded In the new spring materials that this hint of bordered stuff made up in shirtwaist style is most timely. The model Is a seamless peasant blouse, the material being really a huge square kerchief of silk crepe with the pattern runntng around four sides. A hole at the center of the square forms the neck opening, and, of course, one side of the kerchief Is slashed up to make the opening at the back of the blouse. Satin bands in a dark color emphasise the dominant color of the crepe square and cuffs and collar of white Teniae Insertion add daintl- ' ness.

meeting was not very largely attended on account of illness among the members so that no plans coul.i be made for the next regular meeting.

MEETING WAS POSTPONED.

The members of the art committee of

the Hammond Woman's Club were forced to postpone the meeting which was announced to take place yesterday afternoon. The change was made on account of the meeting of the history committee at the home of Mrs. O. A. Krinbill In Klmbach avenue. The announcement of the place of meeting has not been made but will be during the next few days. An interesting-study piogram on "The Art of the Vatican" is being prepared and it is desired that all the members are present to enjoy it. A THIMBLE PARTY. A very enjoyable afternoon was given by Mrs. G. L. Smith at her home in

A piano solo entitled "Wedding Day" was beautifully rendered by Mrs. E. Cooper. She gave as an encore "Polacca" by Weber. Mrs. Bostwlck followed with a paper on "The Notable Men and Women of Virginia and the Carolinas." This was given in a most original and pleasing style and was both humorous and inter
