AN EX JO V ABLE MEETING. An enjoyable meeting of the members of Circle No. 2 of St. Margaret's Hospital took place yesterday afternoon and Mrs. John Pascaly was hostess at her home, 318 East Sibley street. It was the first meeting of the members In several weeks and many of them were in attendance. The afternoon was
spent at the card tables and the guests
played several games of pedro. The

Mrs. Claude Campbell entertained. the members of the Good Will Club very delightfully yesterday afternon at her home in Tr.uman avenue. An important meeting of the members of the Ladies Aid Society of the First Baptist church took place yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. H. J. Woodruff in Logan street. The

young ladies of the club are asked to prepare a box luncheon for two which
will be serve after the program. It is
expected that there will be a large gathering as the meeting is the first

from a distance. The entertainment was given in honor of the young people who are home from college to spend the .holidays. Dancing began at eight-thirty o'clock and continued until
midnight. Twenty dances composed the program for the evening. During the intermissions frappe was served in
the refreshment room. Mr. Elster
furnished the music for dancing and he played an enjoyable program of music.
ENTERTAINS INFORMALLY. Miss Veda Hemstock informally en
tertained the girls of the Philathea Club of the First Baptist church last
evening at her home in Wbb street.
It was the regular meeting of the club members which was changed from Tuesday to Thursday for the conven
ience of several of the members. The attendance at the meeting was good
and the young ladies spent the time
in an enjoyable social way. Embroidery work and music were among the
features of entertainment and at ten o'clock the features of entertainment and at ten o'clock a daintily arranged
course luncheon was served. The ar
rangements were not made for the next party but a meeting will be held
in two weeks on Tuesday night. A SPECIAL MEETING.
A special meeting of the members of
the Motor Boat Out) took place last
evening at the home of G. W. Hunter
in Hohman street. The meeting was
called to make preparations for the annual lball to be given January 18th at the Masonic Temple. The invitations
to the affair will be issued during the
next few days and many guests are ex
pected. The committees are making elaborate preparations for the dance and it is expected that It will be the
leading social event of the month.
