Search So Far Fruitless. Although the police are far from giving up the search for the bicycle thieves who have been operating successfully In Hammond for some time,, they have nothing to report that would lead to a clew. They are satisfied that the thefts are the result of the work of a gang who make it their business to -steal the wheels of unsuspecting owners. They are also satisfied that the stolen wheels are not disposed of in Hammond. Several years ago they broke up a gang, and if the stealing continues they are confident that they can break up this gang, too.
