AX ALL-DAY SESSION. The members of the Deborah Aid Seclety ol the First Christian church met for am all-day session yesterday at the home of Mrs. Fenstermacher in Wilcox , street. The members gathered at the home of the hostess early In
the day and spent the time sewing for
the benefit of the society and church. At 12 o'clock a course dinner was served in the dining room and the hour was spent socially. There was a good attendance of members and they reported having spent an enjoyable day as Mrs. Fenstermacher's guests. Another meeting -was arranged ta taka place Thursday afternoon of next week at the home of Mrs. Scott 6n Ash Street. , 1 '

A FAREWELL PARTY.The members of the No-Name Club were guests at a party at which Mrs. Webber entertained last evening at her home in East State street. The enter; tainment was given as 'a farewell before she leaves Hammond after making her home here for several years. It was also the last party of the' series unless the members decide to reorganize and meet during the remainder of the, summer. The guests played sev-r eral games of pedro at small tables after which the honors were awarded.

the First Christian church yesterday afternoon at her home in Wolter street. It was the regular weekly meeting and the usual number of members were
present. After the routine business had been transacted there vs social hour when the hostess served her guests with refreshments. Mrs. Cunningham will be the next hostess and will entertain at her home, 45 Doty street, next Thursday afternoon. Business of importance will be transacted and it is desired that many members attend. The members of committee No. 5 will have

Miss Ethel Wolf entertained a number of friends very pleasantly last evening at her home in Michigan avenue at a kitchen shower, complimentary to Miss Elisabeth Brumm, whose marriage to George Wolf will take place May 18. The Invited guests presented Miss Brumm with many useful kitchen utensils. During the evening various social games and music were enjoyed and the hostess had arranged one guessing contest for her guests' entertainment. Miss Alice Hess received the prize. Mrs. W. D. Weis had as her guests yesterday afternoon at her home, south of Hammond, the- ladies of Circle No. 1. It was one of their regular social meetings and they spent a very enjoyable time playing cards. Several games of pedro were played at small tables and the honors for tlje afternoon were won by Mrs.' Otto Knoerzer, first; Mrs. Mat Klein, second,', and Mrs. George Eder, third.- At the conclusion of the games the hostf served refreshments. There were many members present and Mrs. Weis had as her invited guests Mrs. Peter Austgen, Mrs. John Heiser and Mrs. J. Fred Krost, An enjoyable feature of the afternoon was the trip to the Weis home, thf hostess having provided hayracks 1meet the guests at the end of the ci line. MEETING OK THE M. G. C1AB. The girls of the M. G. club met last evening at the home of Miss Iva Wilson, on Michigan avenue. After the business meeting' games and music were the other features of the evening. The rooms were prettily decorated in the club colors of red and white. Miss Caroline Hess rendered several Instrumental selections. At a late hour a course luncheon was served. The next party will be given in two weeks at the home of Miss Irene Clover in Indianapolis avenue. Those present were: Edith iARue. ENTERTAINMENT. A very delightful social entertainment -occurred yesterday afternoon when Mrs. Frederick A. Bull entertained the ladies of the Fern Leaf Linen Club at her home in East State street. It was one of the social meetings of the members at which cadrs are the only featvire of entertainment. The games were played at small tables in tha parlors and at the close-the honors were awarded. Mrs. Roy Traverse, of Indiana Harbor, received the first honors an dthe other prizes were won by Mrs. Frederick A. Bull, Mrs. Ray Fowler and Mrs. Charles Miller. The remainder of the afternoon, Until 4:30 o'clock, was spent socially when the guests were invited into the dininrf room and served with a course luncheon. The decorations were flowers and ferns and a large bunch of roses and carnations arranged with ferns was used as a center piece on the table. Hand decorated place cards were laid for the guests and appropriate verses were printed on the cards. The reading of the verses furnished pleasant entertainment during the serving. Mrs. Dufraln will be the next hostess and will entertain at her home in Michigan avenue in two weeks on Thursday.
A SOCIAL MEETING. ' The young people of the Presbyterian Social Club were nicely entertained in the parlors of the church last evening by Mrs. Kerr and daughter, Miss Kerr, and Mrs. Hosier. There was a very large attendance at the meeting and the guests met very informally and report having spent an enjoyable time. They entertained with music, games and con

A large number of Hammond young people were present and spent the evening very enoyably with various social games, contests and music. At a late hour refreshments were served. Christian church 'will serve a chichen pie supper Saturday evening. May 21st, in the K. of P. hall. Supper will be served between five and eight o'clock and the public is invited to attend.
