Unable longer to disregard the urgent and unceasing demands of homeseekers, the lumbermen have at last released for settlement 500,000 acres of rich farming
land in the heart of Wisconsin's ereat dairying and big crop-producing section. It
is a country of abundant rainfall and the purest of water. The immense tract thrown
ooen is known as the Round Lalee Wisconsin Farm Lands. Thanks to the American
Immigration Co., which has secured this vast acreage, a man -with few hundred
dollars and good red blood in his veins can secure a farm equal in productive power to
land that commands $100 to $150 per acre in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana or Ohio, at a cost of $6.50
to $20 per acre, pavable one-auarter to one-third cash and the balance in ten years. The very
choicest of these lands 150,000 acres, located in Sawyer County, Wisconsin is being sold at these surprisingly low figures.

Good News Travels Fast This is an opportunity tmparalleled in recent years, and the news has already traveled fast and far. creating widespread interest. It challenges the attention of the owner of highpriced land and the tenant farmer as well. The man who owns high-priced land can sell at top-notch figures and by re-investing in the Round Lake Country secure a tremendously increased acreage. The tenant farmer can realize here his life's ambition to have a fine farm of his own and raise bis family in independence, with none to dispute his right to the fruits of his own industry. The Hind of EVIen Wanted The great development plans inaugurated by the American Immigration Co. call for men who will take full advantage of the opportunities offered. There is work to do, but it is work that brings big reward in rapidly increasing land values and ready cash to help get started. There is timber to be cleared away, but much of it is merchantable hardwoods birch, maple, hemlock and basswood which can be turned into money at the nearby sawmills. The rest is readily salable as cordwood, at good prices. There is plenty of timber to pay for the land and provide lumber for farm buildings, fences and fuel.
raising is very profitable. Cattle, sheep, swine and horses thrive on the rich pastures of the Round Lake Region. Clover grows in such abundance that this district istknown as "The Land of the Big Red Clover." Clover and timothy yield $10 an acre in the meadow, and four cows will produce over $200 worth of butter and $150 worth of beef. This indicates the big profits in dairy farmiiSg. Nowhere in the United States is there a better opportunity for a man to start in profitable dairy farming than is afforded by the Round Lake Wisconsin Farm Lands. A New Country In the Heart of the Old Here is a situation impossible to duplicate in any state in the Union. A wooded paradise, rich in the same resources that tempted the pioneers to cross the continent and endure untold hardships right in the front yard of the greatest dairy stmt in the Union! Land that in a few short years will be selling for $100 to $150 an acre! Those who buy Round Lake Wisconsin Farm Land have the benefit of nearby markets, railroad facilities, telephone and mail service, with schools churches and good neighbors.
Much of the pioneering has been done. The heavy timber has been cut away. The old logging roads, which criss-cross the land: in every direction, together with many miles of new roads, are in good condition. The clearing of the land not only adds to the value, but actually contributes to its payment, as every stick of timber is valuable. - Land Values Advancing Fast The one investment that is absolutely safe and bound to increase in value is Wisconsin Farm Land in the Round Lake Country. The prices of undeveloped land are rapidly increasing. And when a good live man gets hold of a piece of this land and develops it into a producing farm it fairly leaps in value. New Land Now $6.50 to $20 Per Acre The Round Lake Wisconsin Farm Land is graded according to the kind of soil, quantity of timber and nearness to railroads. The prices range from $6.50 to $20 per acre. There is no better land in the state than some of these lands. Personal investigation will prove the troth of every Statement we make regarding them.
ftlS'L Ten Years to Pay for a fSound Lake Farm!
The Round Lake Wisconsin Farm Lands are not in one unbroken tract, but scattered pieces, and in
between are fine developed farms producing grain, fruit and vegetables in astonishing abundance. The soil is a rich, sandy loam, with clay sub-soil or a clayey loam soil, both particularly adapted for dairy farming, stock raising and the production of big crops of wheat, oats, barley, timothy, clover, tobacco, sugar beets, and all classes of vegetables. Great Stock and Dairy Region Wisconsin leads all ether states in its output of dairy products. This Round Lake land is in the very heart of the state's richest dairy section. Stock
We will sell yon a farm in the Round Lake Country on such favorable terms that a few hundred dollars cash will easily swing the deal. You can pay the balance in five or ten annual payments. Any industrious man can have his farm fully paid for and money in the bank long before the five or ten-year period. How to Get Hound Lake Land The first thin? to do is to go up to the Round Lake Wisconsin Farm Lands with us and look them over. Personal investigation, riarht on the ground, will prove conclusively that this is the greatest cheap land opportunity of the aee. It's a chance you cannot afford to overlook. Hundreds are headed for Sawyer County determined to get a fresh start in a new country, where all have an equal chance. Let us take you over the land and show you its rich possibilities. Compare it with the land in your own locality that sells for five times as much. Railroad fare refunded to purchasers. Call or write for free book, "The Round Lake Country." which gives facts, figures, pictures, explains our development plans, tells of new towns and railroads, and gives proof. Hammond and one from Gary are being groomed. A FREE FOR ALL. It will thus be seen that the very number of candidates in the field Is a source of danger to the candidacy of every man who Is out for the nomination. It Is also a self-evident tact that bo
many candidates In the fild combina-'
tions may result In the defeat of the strongest man, from the standpoint of individual delegate strength, on the ticket. The best politician, the man who is used to moving political pawns back and forth across the board is the man who is likely to win. Almost any sort of a combination may be expected. On gaper either Granger or Van Horn is intrenched in the strongest position but at the same time the fact must be appreciated that he
might be overthrown by a combination
against him. FIGHT IS INTERESTING.
The large number of candidates in
the field will make this fight the most
interesting in the county and the out
come will be watched with interest.
Gary is after the Joint representative
and Is going after it with characteris
tio Gary vigor. East Chicago Is Just
as determined that Van Horne be hand

candidates who both have a following and It is possible that the next few days will result in the announcement
of the candidacy of Will Ade.

credited to the "yes" and "no" column the delegates that have already been

In fact this estimte shows that the

' MAB4IN WORRIES THEM. This narrow margin Is what la
worry1nr the politicians in the party. They do not know where they stand, and it Is said that it was after he had looked over the list of counties and delegates and made an estimate of his own much after the fashion of what
these two men did last night that Thomas Taggart came to the conclusion that he had better get in the race and make his announcement as a candidate. It is said that he found that he oould master enough votes under' his banner to either beat the proposition or to nominate himself If It goes through.

Machine With TasKart.
A leading democratic politician said
in Hammond this morning he had found
no crystalixatlon of sentiment In Lake
County in favor of either Taggart or
Marshall. He thought, however, that
this was hardly the proper time to
bring on an innovation in party
methods, but agreed that an endorse
ment by a convention although not
binding the legislature would better
voice the sentiment of the voters than
if the matter were left entirely with
he legislature. It would be a safe bet
however that If the machine has Its way in Lake County, the delegates will
go to Indianapolis ready, although not pledged, to support Taggart in preference of Marshall.
A. F. Knorts O. Ki Bat Just at present a very disconcerting
factor has crept into the democratic situation in Lake county and possibly into the tenth congressional district.
A. F. Knotts, former republican mayor
of Hammond and until recently a re
publican is the fly in the ointment.- The
democrats always willing to welcome
convert to their ranks, are especial
ly pleased to see so shining a mark as A. F. Knotts embrace practically every
thing that is democratic but and but again, they say it's so sudden, so overwhelming that under the circumstances Mr. Knotts will simply have to wait his
turn. A republican in speaking to j democrat may speak of the former I Hammond mayor as an interloper especially when his name Is mentioned as a possible candidate against E. T.
Crumpacker, but a democrat will gracefully refer to him as an "acquisition" and deftly turn the subject of conver
sation on the recent frosts.
Would BrinK Out Becker. plenty of Hammond democrats can
