A MARQUISE UNQERIE FROCK IX TUNIC STTLE.
Th Xtaaalaa vact blon haa been vtry cleverly suggested In this
pretty frock of white batiste. Russian lace has been used In combination with tucking: and the blouse, or tunic, appears to fasten from neck to knees;
bodice and tunic blngr In reality joined at the waist by a belt of the lace.
Tha whole effect of the frock is very soft and clinging, not a particle of
Stiffness being permitted In the tunic or sleeve. Undrsleeve and skirt are
.'trimmed with a lighter lace and this lace appears also- in the small yoke at "tha too of tha blouse: the heavy lace on the tunic being thus thrown' into
! strong relief.

Hammond Shriners Had Time of Their Lives on Southern Trip I Another Big Ceremonial Tor Orak Will Take Place In June When Officers Come To Present Lodge A Charter.
f
IT
The Hammond Shriners and their
wives returned from their trip' to New Orleans today and report that "they had
the finest time of their lives.
New Orlean's hospitality was a mar
vel to the Hammond visitors, and it is
said that the whole town was turned
over to the Shriners during their stay
there.
The Mardi Gras, which was put on
especially for the Shriners, is said to
have been a rrost wonderful pageant and cost the city of New Orleans $20,-
000. : . .
The entire party went from New Or
leans to Pensacola. Fla., where they remained several days. On the return trip Dr. H. E. Sharrer and wife, C. B.
Manbeck and wife,- Dr. -. W, H. Davis
and wife and a number of others vis
ited Mammoth cave.S Plan to Receive ' Cfcarter. ,
One of the important items of news
that the party brought back to Ham mond is the fact that another ceremon
lal Is scheduled for June, , when three
of the officers of the imperial council wlll-cpme to Hammond and present Orak temple with its charter which was granted at New Orleans. " This will be the next great event from the Shriner's point of view, ar.d great preparations are to be made for this event. In the whole country there were only eight other charters granted. Hammond henceforth will have the only Shrine In northern Indiana, and it is expected that with the large and grooving territory that Orak temple will hav& to draw from that this Shrine is destined to become one of the most important in the whole state with the possible exception of the Shrine at Indianapolis. The ihembers of the New -Orleans party have many Interesting stories to tell of theitrip and of the experiences they had. It would take columns of
space to tell, of them all, but it is said that a pickpocket was arrested just as 'he was reaching for J. T. Hutton's
pocketbook.
