On the contract for the heating and rnoon with their sewing, after which
ventilating system there were two bidders, the Brice Heating and Ventilating Co. and Lewis & Kitchen. The bids on this proposition were close together, slightly over $5,000, but owing to the fact that the specifications were at variance this matter was taken under t.dvisement and will again be taken up next Saturday for consideration and at that time the contract may be awarded. The appropriation of $40,000 by the town for the construction ot these buildings will not be exhausted for construction purposes, as will be seen by the figures given, but there will be an added expense for furnishings and equipment that may run the total over the amount of the appropriation. , In this case other provision will have to be made for the excess expenditure which, in any event, will not be a large cum.
