He therefore refused to bind the men over, but continued the case for a month while every effort would be made to determine the identity of the real murderers. The men are still under $2,000 bonds.

NEAR HIGH MARK
Lake county's temperature soared to 76 degrees at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, making it the hottest March day, with two exceptions, since 1871. Today the thermometer registered 82 degrees. The unseasonable heat was mitigated by a wind from the northeast which at times reached a velocity of twenty-nine miles an hour. The temperature had quite wide range, as at 6 o'clock in the morning 40 degrees was recorded.

A few weeks ago while attending a meeting of the Masonic lodge at Hobart, while boarding a Pennsylvania train, Mr. Kirchman had the misfortune to severely sprain and crush his right hand. The Injured member had nearly healed when it was again painfull lacerated in the accident yesterday. Mr. Kirchman was on his way to th postoffice and had just left the curb in front of the Reynolds building when he was' struck by the foreigner on the bicycle, who evidently knew very little about the management of a wheel. When they collided Mr. Kirchman was khncked down on the pavement, several of his friends running to his as
