It was the reguar meeting of the society and the routine business was disposed of. The remainder of the afternoon was spent with sewing for the benefit of the society. At the close of the afternoon, the hostess served a flalnty luncheon. JThe next meeting will take place as usual in two weeks on Thursday afternoon and Mrs. W. A. members of the Martha 'Aid society of

the First Christian church yesterday afternoon at her home in May street.

decided to hold a social on Thursday evening, March 17, at the chapel to which the public is cordially invited to attends The proceeds of -both affairs will be -used for the benefit of the church. hall, the corner of Oakley avenue and

Sibley street. There was the usual large attendance of young people and

when they had disposed of the routine business the remainder of the evening was spent socially. A musical program was one of the features of the

evening. Dainty refreshments were served at the close of the meeting. A

business meeting was announced to take place In two weeks on Thursday

evening, and a full attendance of mem

bers Js desired.
