The meeting of the No Name club which was announced to take place yesterday afternoon had to be postponed and it has been decided not to bold any other parties during the season of Lent. Announcement will be made later of the next meeting.
A SOCIAL MEETING. Mrs. Sonensteln very pleasantly entertained the members of the Martha Aid society of the First Christian church yesterday afternoon at her home in Clinton street. It was the regular club party and all the members were present. They met informally and spent the afternoon pleasantly in the parlors. Embroidery work was the principal feature of the afternoon. At 4:30 o'clock a daintily arranged course luncheon was served. The ladles will be entertained again in two weeks at the home of Mrs. John Wolf in East State street. - A BUSINESS MEETING. A very charming society function occurred today when Mrs. Charles Monnett entertained at her home in South Hohman street. The entertainment was the first of a series of parties at which Mrs. Monnett will entertain in honor of her twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. The second will occur on Saturday and an equal number of guests will be present including several from out of the city. The guests were invited to a 1o'clock dinner and as they arrived they were entertained pleasantly in the parlors until the appointed hour. ATTEND UNION MEETING. About twelve ladies of the Home Missionary society of the First Methodist church went to Indiana Harbor yesterday to attend the annual prayer service. The session opened at 10 o'clock, and continued until a late hour in the afternoon. In the morning there was a service of prayer until 12 o'clock, when the ladies of the Indiana Harbor church served a luncheon in honor of the visiting guests from Hammond, E. Chicago, Whiting, Gary and Wheeler. In the afternoon the principal addresses were made by Mrs. Curnick, president of the South Bend district, and Mrs. Campbell, also of South Bend, who is the conference secretary.. The
reports of the various officers were read. The ladies who attended from Hammond report the meeting as having been a very successful one and largely attended. AN ENJOYABLE PARTY. One of the very enjoyable social events of the week occurred last even

one of the parties of the winter series.
The entertainment was in the-nature of a box party and the ladies brought

11, D. of entertained at a pedro party last evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Toms, 411 Hoffman street An invitation to attend was extended to the members and their friends and the parlors were comfortably filled with guests. The guests were seated at several small tables and played seven games of pedro. The honors were awarded to Mrs. Schoff and Miss Bates and the gentlemen's prizes were won by Mr. Schoff and Mr. Vernon Dufrain. The remainder of the evening was spent socially and the committee served dainty refreshments. The party was one of the very pleasant social affairs of the week.
