E. J. & E. Get Engines. The E., J. & E. railroad has received fiSen additional engines for use along its line. Several of them will be stationed at Joliet and the others will be forwarded to other points. The large volume of freight handled by this railroad necessitated more motive power, and the "engines were rented for the balance of the winter months.

EAST GARY. W. Erlandson Is home again for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Northey and son. Marcur, left Friday morning for their old home in Belolt, Wis., where they expect to spend the remainder of the winter. William Reich Is on the sick list, being confined to his home with quit a severe attack of. the grippe.

WEDDING TOMORROW

Attorney Gotlieb Will Wed Miss Wolner in Chicago. The marriage of Attorney Louis I. Gottlieb of Gary to Mies Jeanette Wollner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wollner, 2112 Price place, Chicago, will take place tomorrow in Chicago. The wedding will be a prominent one in Jewish circles, as Miss Wollner Is well-known In Chicago. The wedding will take place at the Roby street synagogue, th-e Rabbi Rappaport officiating. After the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb will spend their honeymon visiting New York and other large cities in the east. They will return to Gary about the 16th of this month, where they will make their future home.

Visits Dr. Geisel. Sam Geisel, brother of Dr. E. E. Geisel and former driver of the auto fire truck of the local fire department, was in Gary yesterday as the guest of friends. Mr. Geisel now has a lucrative position with the Chicago Taxlcab Co., and will leave that concern later on in the spring to drive a racing machine for a Detroit automobile company.

Department Called Out. The fire department were called out about 5 o'clock last night to the Brunswick poolroom and barber shop, where a small explosion occurred from the lighting system. A quantity of gasoline, which leaked from a tank, became ignited, which threatened the explosion of the big gasoline tank. The department was called and the flames were extinguished before very much damage occured.
