NORTH SIDE LADIES MEET. The ladies of the North Side club

were entertained at the home of Mrs. Anna Ripley In North Hohman street yesterday afternoon and the hostesses , for the afternoon were Mrs. Ripley and Mrs. Loomis. The meeting was the

regular monthly social meeting and

about eighteen ladies were in attendance. The guests were pleasantly en

tertained with music and several spent the afternoon with their embroidery work. At 4 o'clock the hostesses served a dainty two course luncheon. The next meeting will not occur until the first Friday afternoon in February and Mrs. Ferguson will entertain. An enjoyable afternoon Is anicipated then and all the members are invited to be present. of the Garfield club will take place Monday evening in the parlors of the

First Christian church. The usual

roses and ferns and showered In pink

candy hearts. Dainty hand decorated

place cards done in the same colors, were laid for twelve guests. At the

table the guests were given favors of pank satin bags filled with rice. The guest of honor, Miss Shea was given a large pink satin handerchief bag filled with beautiful handkerchiefs, the gift of the young ladies. Another gift to Miss Shea from the hostess was a large candy cane to which were tied twelve hearts and the guests were invited to write a wish on each heart. The party was one of the very-pleasant ones of the series that is being
