The members of the Deborah Aid Society of the First Christian church were pelasantly entertained by Mrs. John Grace at her home th Eeall avenue yesterday. The members met for an allday session and at noon were served with an elaborate course dinner In the dining room. The table was prettily decorated appropriate to the holidays, the prevailing colors being red and green. During the afternoon the guests were served with dainty refreshments. Business of Interest to the members was disposed of and the annual election of officers took place. Mrs. Sllger was re-elected president and Mrs. Gregg was elected vice president. The offices of secretary and treasurer will be filled by Mrs. Perry Wilson and Mrs, Leo GaveB. A short time was spent In a social way and it was decided to hold another meeting next Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Davis in South Calumet avenue. Alt the members are Invited to be present. EXTERTAIX AT CARDS. Mrs. John Huber very pleasantly entertained the members of the No-Name club yesterday afternoon at her home In State street. It was the regular club meeting and all the members were present. The guests spent a very enjoyable time in the usual way of the club with card games. Several games of pedro were played during the afternoon and prizes were awarded to Mrs. Webber, Mrs. Wagner and Miss Anna Rohrman. Mrs. Keyser won the consolation prize. A very pleasant meeting or tne members of Sewing Circle No. 2, of St. Margaret's hospital was held at the home of Mrs. Henry Bieker in East Sibley street yesterday afternoon. The meeting was announced to take place at the home of Mrs. Jacob Wels in Douglas street, but on account or her illness other arrangements were made. Many members wer present as It was the first meeting In several weeks on account of the season of Advent. The ladies of the Martha Society of the First Christian church were delightfully entertained by Mrs. Ralph Pierce yesterday at her home in CondIt street. It was the first meeting of the members in a few weeks and many were in attendance. The home was prettily decorated appropriate to the season with wreaths of holly and cut flowers. In the early afternoon the routine business was disposed of and the annual election of officers took place. Mrs. Will Lasch was re-elected president, making her fifth year in office. In appreciation of her work in the society the ladies presented her with a handosme painting. Mrs. J. M. VanSickle made the speech of presentation In a pleasing way and Mrs. Margarget Hardy also gave a few words of the society's appreciation of Mrs. Lash's work and of the growth of the society. Mrs. I. Shortrldge was elected vice president and Mrs. John Hickman secretary. The assistant secretary la Mrs. Arthur Coffn, and Mrs. Ralph Pierce was chosen to the office of treasurer. Mrs. John Nist was , chosen chairman of the floral committee to act during the new year. The I remainder of the afternoon was spent pleasantly in a social way and the hos- j tess served a two course luncheon. Kaluf of Ogden street, who has been 111 for several weeks, has been removed to the Frances Wlllard hospital, Chicago, where her many friends hope she will recover at an early date. The young ladies of the Imblah club were the guests of Miss Hazel LaRue at a pleasant party last evening at her home in Truman avenue. It was a reunion of the young ladies of the .graduating class of 1909 and several of them were present. They spent the evening in conversation and music until a late hour when they were invited Into the dining room and served with a Dutch lunch. Among the guests present were Miss Irene Parsons, who is home for the holidays from college in Milwaukee and Miss Lyda Muenich, who Is spending her vacation from the Indiana State Normal school at Terre Haute, Ind., with her Hammond rela tives. The other guests were Miss Alice Hess, who is here for a week's visit from Wheatfield, Ind., Marjory Sutter and Hazel LaRue. GUESTS FOR DINNER. Airs. it. a. Hickey will entertain a few out-of-town friends at dinner Sunday in honor of her daughter, Miss Lois' birthday anniversary. Among those who will be present are: Miss Noamnl Feister of Kensington, 111., Mrs. C. B.
