Mr. and Mrs. Harry Parker and children have returned to their home in Chicago after a few days' pleasant visit , with Mrs. Parker's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hauber of Morton court. AID SOCIETY MEETS. The members of the Ladies' Aid Society of the German M. E. church will meet Thursday afternoon in the parlors of the church for the regular meeting. All the members are invited to be present as an enjoyable time will be passed. LEAVES FOR THE SOUTH. Mr. E. B. Stiles of Sibley street left last evening for Birmingham, Ala., where he will remain until after New Years, the guest of his relatives. RETVRX FROM VISIT. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Ebert and son, Lloyd, of Sibley street, have returned home from Michigan City where they went to spend Christmas with friends and relatives. VISIT IN HOB ART. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Collins of Truman avenue have been spending a few days visiting Mrs. Collin's relatives in Hobart. They were entertained there over Christmas. The members of the Deborah Aid Society of the First Christian chcTch will meet for an all-day session Thursday at the home of Mrs. J. Grace in Beall avenue. MacAleer will pleasantly entertain the members of the Alpha Phi club Friday afternoon at her Jiome in East "Webb sf eet. There will be no meeting of the members of tho Ladies' Aid Society of the First Presbyterian church this afternoon as was previously announced. The first meeting will take place Wednesday afternoon of next week in the church room. A PLEASANT MEETING. A pleasant meeting of the ladies of the Good Will club will take place Thursday afternoon of this week and Mrs. Frank Baker will entertain at her home in Price place. It is the regular weekly meeting and important business will be disposed of. A short time will be spent socially. It is desired that many members attend. MEETING WAS POSTPONED. There will be no meeting of the members of the Oak Leaf Embroidery clutt this afternoon on account of the holidays and the absence of several of the members from the city. Mrs. Hal Young will entertain next Wednesday afternoon and a social time will be passed. MRS. MARKS A HOSTESS. Mrs. Abe Marks will pleasantly entertain the members of the Jewish La dies' Aid Society this afternoon at her home In West State street. It is the regular meeting of the society and after the routine business has been disposed of a pleasant time will be spent socially. It was desired that many members be present. Miss Mayme Reiser of Clinton street returned home this morning from Crown Point where she has been visiting friends and relatives for a few days. A BUSINESS VISIT. John Zyp of Highlands transacted business in Hammond today. RETURNS TO HAMMOND. Mrs. Elizabeth Barker of Waterford, Wis., is expected to arrive In Hammond the first of the year to make her home in the future. Mrs. Barker formerly lived here and has a wide acquaintance of friends who will welcome her return. RETURNS FROM VISIT. Roscoe Livingston of Truman avenue returned to Hammond last evening from his home in Mount Vernon, 111., where he went to spend Christmas with friends and relatives. A BUSINESS TRIP. Tiel DeMik of Munster was among the out-of-town business visitor's in Hammond yesterday. RETl'RS FROM VlSIf. Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes and little" son, Milton, of Warren street, spent the past week end visiting Mr. and Mrs. Will Hughes and family at their home In Crown Point.
MEETING WAS POSTPONED. The young ladles of the M. T. club decided ta postpone the regular meeting1 which, was announced to taka place this week on account of other social engagements. The next party will not occur until Tuesday evening of next week and an enjoyable time is anticipated. .
SEWING CIRCLE MEETS. Mrs. Henrj' Bieker of East Sibley street will have the ladies of Sewing Circle, No. 2, of St. Margaret's hospital as her guests Thursday afternoon. It is the first meeting after Advent and a pleasant social time will be spent. Cards will be the entertainment. All the members are Invited to be present. HERE DJS a visit. Miss Margaret Blair of Monon, Ind., is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Chester Hamacher, at her home in Wood avenue for several days. VISITS RELATIVES. Mrs. John C. "Cameron of Logan street is spending a few days with relatives and friends in Chicago. Miss Augusta Klein very delightfully entertained the young ladies of the N. N. Embroidery club last evening at her home in Conkey avenue. All the members, were present and spent the evening in the usual pleasant" way of the club. Games and music were features of the evening until a late hour when a daintily arranged course luncheon was served. Another party will be given next Tuesday evening and Miss Bertha Maleitske will entertain at her home in Indiana avenue. The following members were present last evening: Mrs. John J. The annual election of officers took place and the remainder of the evening' was spent pleasantly in a social way. The members of the Epworth League of the First Methodist church will hold a watch party Friday evening at the pretty residence of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Surprise in Homewood. The members of the league and all their friends are invited to be present during the evening. Preparations are being made for a very' delightful party and after various social diversions a dainty luncheon will be served. The entertainment is also in the nature of a house warming, it being the opening of Mr. and Mrs. Surprise's new home to their friends. ATTEND A BANQUET. Drl Mary E. Jackson and Jlfiss Elizabeth Scott went to Chicago and this evening will attend a banquet in the Capital Tea room of the Republic building given by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. MEETING WAS POSTPONED. The young ladies of the Inter Se club did not meet last evening, which was the regular meeting night, on account of the absence of several of the members from the city. A party will be given next Tuesday evening and Miss Ellen Clark will entertain at the home of Mrs.' George A. A. Mason in Rimbach avenue.

Preparations were alo made for the next meeting early in January when the annual installation of of ficers will take place.
