TIMES' niREAIJ AT THE STATE CAPITAL. Indianapolis, Ind., Dec. 13. The democrats all over the state have their eyes fixed on the meeting of the state committee, which will be held in this city net Tuesday. There seems to be

an impression that at this meeting there will be a great deal of talk about the make up of the state platform next year. 'Special interest Is taken in what may be done in regard to a liquor plank, but from what most of the democrats say, nothing at all will be said on this question in the platform. It is known that Governor Marshall is not going to ask that anything be said on the liquor question. He is opposed to the county option law on general principles, but he believes that other liquor legislation can be enacted that will he more effective than the option law. lie has never outlined his views on this subject, however, and he will probably not do so unless It becomes necessary. The fact is that Governor Marshall Is not going to try to dictate to the legislature what It shall do on the liquor question. If the legislature passes a ward and township option law ho will sign it. If the legislature passes a statewide prohibition law he will sign it. If the legislature passes a strict regulative and restrictive liquor law he will sign it. i That much is certain, but beyond that it Is believed he will not go. It is certain that he will not try to get any,
