A DANCING PARTI". The members of the Hammond Athletic association are making elaborate preparations for the dancing party at which they will entertain Thursday evening, Nov. 25th.. in the club rooms In Bellview place. A large number of invitations have been Issued to the young people in Hammond, East Chicago, Chicago and Crown Point and it is expected that there will be a very large, attendance. SPENDS SUNDAY HERE. Will Evers. formerly of Hammond but now of Edgewater, 111., spent Sunday visiting Ralph Parsons at his home In Condit street.
Wants a Receiver. Berthold Klein, a drug clerk in the Red Cross drug store at East Chicago, has filed a complaint in the Lake superior court in which he asks for the appointment of a receiver for Mrs. J. P. Kiss, the owner of the store. In the complaint Klein states that he has $100 hack salary due, and he states that Mrs. Kiss has liabilities of $1,600 with assets of only $700. The complaint goes on to specify some of the creditors of the Red Cross Drug company. The complaint was the second one filed. The first one was dismissed for some reason or another.
