FIRST CHAMP GAME
This afternoon at Crown Foiat. the Gary football warriors are clashing with the county seat team in a struggle which marks the beginning of the fight for the championship of Lake county. Although Gary lias been beaten once this year by Hammond, this was regarded as a practice game and will not be considered as a defeat. Another game will in all probability be played with Hammond. Gary and Crown Point are thought to be evenly matched and a good game should result. Although Gary has one of the strongest back fields of any team in the county, the line is light and inexperienced and would be unable to hold against an aggregation of much beef. Coach Netherton and severl rooters are expected to go to Crown Point this afternoon to attend the game.
