The Hammond high school football
team will not play a game next Saturday. This is due to the fact that the
school Is only allowed to play six games
a season, according to the agreement
with the northern Indiana high schools,
and does not want to waste any of Its
games on unimportant contests.
The high school had a chance to play Rockford, 111., but it was not thought
advisable to take ca the game. The
next game of the season will be on the 13th of this month when the locals will
play the team representing the South
Bend high school. The boys are getting In some good practice in the meantime and hope to put up a good front against the strong team from South Bend.
