THREE SHADES OF GREEN RIBBON ON THIS HAT. Ribbon is always the most practical trimming for a child's hat, for it

i is fresh and charming at the start and may easily be renewed several times

during the season. Three shades of green ribbon were used to trim this j pale gray felt shape, the ribbon being shirred along the edges to form a puffed -effect. The trimming grows darker toward the back, where the deep

est color Is massed in rosettes. A bow of the lightest green is used to tie

, the hair at the right side.
