ECCLESIASTICAL GOWN WITH WATTEAU EMBROIDERIES. Stoles, tabards, dalmatiques and o ther features of the medieval mode have proved themselves to be so graceful that even the frivolous Louis XVI. styles are not able to supplant them entirely in feminine favor. So, some of the great couturiers, determined upon Introducing the Iouls modes, have yielded a point and combine the wel-liked medieval lines with new Louis notions of trimming. Thus this beautiful costume of biscuit-colored marquisette, mounted over shell-pink satin, has a surplice embroidered richly in a rococco pattern done with rose pink, biscuit and tan silks.
