Wells of Kouts, Ind., is expected here Saturday or Sunday to spend the winter with her sister, Mrs. A. "VV. Sprague of Carroll street. She will resume her study of art at the Art Institute in Chicago ;fct the beginning of the fall term. MEET THIS AFTERXOOX. The children of the King Herald's So. ciety cf the First Methodist church are meeting this afternon at the home of Verna MacAIeer in East "Webb street. A very enjoyable program has been arranged for the afternoon and it was desired that all the members attend. EXPECTED HOME TODAY. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Klemperer of Warren street are expected to return home today from a few weeks' visit in Frankfort, Mich., where Mr. Klemperer went for the benefit of his hay fever. Martin writes her Hammond friends from New York, where she is spending a few weeks' vacation, telling of her delightful visit with relatives there. About 10 o'clock the guests went down the river In launches for an hour's ride and returned to the club rooms for dainty refreshments. The only out-of-town guests were several young people from Grasselli, who came down the river In Mr. Hill's launch. In the party were Misses Bloomberg, Adaline and Mae Gilboe. AN ENJOYABLE SOCIAL. vounjr people of the Epworth The League of the First Methodist church raw a verv eniovable lawn social last evenlng at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Rosenberg, 632 Hoffman street. Arrangements had bn mad for a very delightful time and although there was not as large an attendance as had been expected, the young people present report having had a very pleasant time. The lawn was attractively decorated with Japanese lanterns and the guests were served with dainty refreshments at small tables. The evening was spent with out-of-door amusements.
